Legal Metrology Department is the department which controls the following activities in the Lunglei district:

1) Enforcement duty to Super Market and Local Market within Lunglei town in every Saturday and as and when complaint received and time.

2) Check & Inspected of LPG, Petrol & Diesel in every delivery.

3) High-way duty as frequently as possible.

4) Checked and visited Weights & Measuring Instruments at traders premises within Lunglei town & District.
